Thirteen Moons and a Day is a reminiscence of late life steeped in the natural world. The poems are rooted in the north Georgia piedmont – the woodlands, rivers, gardens, neighborhoods. The narrative thread reflects the passing moods in the progression of seasons and hints at the underlying unity of life. There is a melancholy beauty to the transience, yet finally a quiet joy in the belonging.
Publication by Kelsay Books is scheduled for early spring 2026.
